Both offer authentic Sahara experiences. Zagora is closer to Marrakech (shorter drive), less touristy, quieter, and more affordable. Merzouga is further, bigger, and has larger dunes. Choose Zagora for convenience and authenticity, Merzouga for longer dunes.
